I just (re)installed RH6
on one of my pcs here,and got everything up ok.
I managed to create amyself as a user using the USER
Manager under KDE menu(I did a custom install and just installed everything,so I
have the Gnome\Englightenment desktop)...
I tried to give myself access as a user,and so
on...
When I try to bring up KPPP(as root ,of course it's
fine)...it says "...this program must be installed with the SUID bit
set...")...and of course I can fill in the info....but that's all.
How can I set up KPPP with the SUID set -for users -ie:
me -for one!
(I would go back to Corel 1.2 -it's a breeze to set
up,but it's sndconfig wouldn't find my soundcard.Whereas in RH6,it says it
didn't find any PNP soundcards,but then lets me find it manually.It's at
220h,IRQ5,etc...and it found it with no problem)
