i have 3c905b

when using the 3c59x drivers, i would get frame errors viewed with ifconfig.
i get better results using the 3com drivers, athough i had to compile them.
i had some trouble compiling them under redhat 7.0 ,but i am a newbie at
that.
i have them working now and get no frame errors and better throughput

http://support.3com.com/infodeli/tools/nic/linuxdownload.htm

here is the instructions that gave me a succesful compile for my 3com
drivers.
using redhat 7.0 and kernel 2.2.18
sorta funny ,had to go to intel to get instructions for 3com.
ftp://download.intel.com/support/network/adapter/1000/rh7_readme.txt

hope this helps
randy
