The reason that the article states that it can affect 7.0 is that 7.0
ships with wu-ftpd 2.6.0, and the earlier version of rpc.statd.

I read the article, and followed the links to the related reports.  The
bug affects wu-ftpd 2.6.0 and earlier.  The available updates take wu.ftpd
to 2.6.1, which is free of this bug.

Most people disable rpc.statd, anyhow, as a security enhancement...but for
those that haven't, the updates cover it, too.

Just run "up2date -l --nosig" to list the available updated packages for
your 7.0 installation, and install the ones you feel apply to your system.
