Here's the deal I'm trying to install a network scanner from
http://www.insecure.org/nmap/index.html
I setup the program and it doesn't work.
There are a couple of rpm's there but they don't install. I figured I needed the
latest rpm to install the rpm from the web site.
Has anyone used this program or know what I'm doing wrong? Should I even bother
trying to update my rpm?

Do not install rpm-4x on a 6.x system. Use rpm-3.05 or rpm-3.06. Version
4 uses a different database format. Also, if you want to use RPMs from
7.0 on a 6.x system, you should get the source rpm and rebuild it on your
system. You will run into problems with different library versions if you
try to install the binary RPMs.
