Cyrix 6x86 PR200MX, 64MB RAM, IWILL motherboard (forget the model at
the moment). Mostly IDE HD with 1 small SCSI for swap space and a
SCSI Syquest Syjet 1.5MB drive as a backup device, SCSI card is an
Adaptec 2940UW.
2.2.16-22 original (out of the box) kernel, all the updates
downloaded via up2date.
Postfix, cucipop, MySQL (latest via up2date), ICRadius,
nfs-utils-0.1.9.1-7 (active NFS export of the backup drive to another
box), snmpd (whichever came with RH7), OpenSSH, samba-2.0.7-ssl,
apache-1.3.14-3.
Mostly a standard installation.
This same hardware used to run RH4.2, with no problems, and I have
another box with similar hardware (same exact mobo/processor, and
similar RAM) running RH6.1, with stock kernel, too.
I'm thinking recompiling the kernel might be a useful thing to do,
but haven't gotten to trying it.
Ran chkrootkit, which found nothing, but did segfault on the z2 test
(wtmp and lastlog).
