This is true!! I will give it until tomorrow
morning to re-cache because that will be like the 5th day or so....
TIA!

You
don't know unless you ask. Many a time I have had the same request in my ISP
days and I did not mind re-caching a zone so it could be seen more
quickly for a paying customer. Depends on what mood you catch them in and if
it is after hours or not. Most likely there is only one person assigned or has
privileges to do this and he/she may be gone for today at least. I would throw
an e-mail at them just to see if you get a response.

No...I am not in control of the name server and
it is an @ Home name server....so I don't think the admin would want to put
down his coffee....
I thought there might be a way for me to do
it...but if not I will just have to wait!!!
THANKS,
Anthony

Are you referring to a name server that you have control over? If
so and the zone is loaded just do a /etc/rc.d/init.d/named restart or
reload. If you are not in control over it then you could possibly get the
admin of the server to re-cache the zone so it shows up on an
nslookup.

Hey Guys,
Quick question, if there anyway that I can
force a Name Server to get an updated zone?? If so, How?? Or do I have
to wait until it updates on its own?
Thanks,
Anthony
