Hi.
I'm still struggling to get W2000 to see my RH6.2 Samba server. Both
systems are attached to a Linksys router and 'used' to work ok. I think
something must have been changed when I opened linuxconf to check the
network settings after I rebooted. I had to reissue the pump command and
suspect that somehow I changed the identity of the machine. However, when I
issue the 'hostname' command, the name looks ok and when I run GNOSamba,
everything looks ok and the smbstatus command looks fine and if I restart
samba it returns an ok return. Can anyone suggest where I might look to
further debug this? The W2000 machine doesn't even see the Linux system in
the Network Neighborhood. I also checked that the workgroup names are the
same. Arggggh!
