 My mistake. Different package. I am using the kernel nfs daemon and nfsutils. 
Thought Charles was talking about this. With this package "nohide" is a valid 
option (man exports). Never used it though, so I can't be sure it does what 
you want :).

> knfsd-1.2.2-4

 nfs-utils-0.1.6-2 in my case (RH 6.2). This machine is behind a firewall, but 
you should get the update if you want to use this nfsd.
