Hi all,
I had a problem with gnorpm while upgrading a package. I ran 'ps ax |
grep gnorpm' and it returns a -D (Is this a dead process?) . If I try
to restart gnorpm as root it tells me that it can't get a shared lock on
' /var/lib/rpm/Packages'. Where is the lock file for gnorpm or is
there some other way to get rid of a dead process?

  kill pid# doesn't work. kill -9 pid# doesn't work.

Ideas? Direction of what to read?

TIA

Bob
