An easy way to tell if the card was found is to look in
/etc/sysconfig/hwconf and see if the card is listed. Then look in
/etc/conf.modules or /etc/modules.conf (Depending on if you have applied
the updates yet, or not.)
As for setting it up, you can run netcfg from X, or netconf from the
command line.
