Just for kicks, I downloaded and installed nautilus last night. That's all I can remember changing on my system this week. This morning, when I fired up xmms, I got the following message: ** WARNING **: oss_open(): Failed to open audio device (/dev/dsp): Device or resource busy. To my knowledge, there should be no other sound applications running. How do I go about finding which application is using /dev/dsp so that I can make it stop? (Note: up until this morning, xmms and sound have been working flawlessly.)
