every 2-3 days i get the following messages that quite often (8/10 times)
leads to a reset button situation.
ctrl-alt-del produces the same problem (since it's not able to run the
reboot script):
Mar 19 18:05:47 atlas kernel: Unable to load interpreter /lib/ld-linux.so.2

Sometimes if i get lucky the system comes back.. This is an example

[root@atlas ace-hellas.gr]# free
Segmentation fault
[root@atlas ace-hellas.gr]# free
Segmentation fault
[root@atlas ace-hellas.gr]# free
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 776408 714356 62052 101424 321488 271572
-/+ buffers/cache: 121296 655112
Swap: 32124 5616 26508
[root@atlas ace-hellas.gr]#

Is there a way to trace what is screwing up the memory?
Sometimes when I get the error, ctrl-alt-scroll lock gives me free pages of
60MB-100MB.
So it's not really or free memory problem. Is it a pages problem?
Is it a swap problem? Who knows....

I also get this sometimes in the log file that I don't know what it is.
Mar 19 17:49:35 atlas kernel: host 8e02a8c0/if2 ignores redirects for
170ba7c3 t
o 811361c3.

The system was a redhat 6.0 and upgraded to 6.1,6.2 and finally 7.0.
All 7.0 updates are installed.
It is running on a PIII 500 with 768MB memory and a 4.3 GB hard disk.
/home is nfs mounted on an nfs server.
(i also get this:
Mar 19 18:07:05 atlas kernel: lockd: failed to monitor 192.168.2.7)

The system is running the following: (please tell me if it is loaded with
lot of stuff which may cause the problem (but that would be a windows box
then))
ftp,
ssh,
sendmail,
amavis,
named,
http (and https),
php4,
pop3 (and pop3s),
nfs client,
imap (and imaps),
mysql,
squid

it is also the gateway for the pcs in the internal network (masquareding
news and https).
The internal network is about 70 PCs.

Any help would be appreciated. Please throw in your ideas. I have tried lots
of things but no luck so far.

Cheers,
Spyros
