Can't solve your problem, but are you sure you want to do this? If this
machine is connected to the Internet, you should (a) not run telnet anyway,
and (b) give out as little information as possible. Security through
obscurity is not in itself highly valuable (and certainly no solution) but
every little thing we do to protect our boxen is a positive thing...
