Hi Michael,

On Monday, April 02, 2001, 4:35:40 PM, you babbled something about:

MB> I am running a number of virtual IPs on my RH 6.1 box.

MB> All my ifcfg-eth0:x files look like this:

MB> DEVICE=eth0
MB> BOOTPROTO=static
MB> IPADDR=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
MB> NETMASK=yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy
MB> ONBOOT=yes

MB> What seems to be happening is that not only do I get all the
MB> appropriate eth0:x interfaces, viewable via ifconfig, but I get
MB> additional items in my routing table, such as interfaces and default
MB> routes:

[snip]

MB> Obviously, I don't want or need the additional interfaces or default
MB> routes showing up.

MB> So, I need to know...what do I need to change/add/delete from my
MB> various ifcfg-eth0:x files to not have this mess show up?

MB> Thanks.

Try adding the line...

NO_ALIASROUTING=yes

Have fun,
