i have the same adapter running with no problem, but
recently, did compile the 2.4.0 and found that there
is support for this specific adapter, it would
probably help to try, compiling your own kernel 2.4.0
including this support, just a hint here, when i did
this it gave an error saying that the kernel doesn't
have ppp support, so i recompile it with this support
as built-in (just a bit bigger kernel), and it works
real fine.
