I have found my best source of files and info to be
www.quakeworld.com and click on the link to quake3 and do a
search for linux. Q3 runs very well on Linux, especially as
a server. Bandwidth always seems to be the limitation as to
the performance of a Q3 server setup. T-1 or better is
always recommended.

Subject: [OT] Where to learn about Quake3 Server?

I have many things setup here on my Linux box, including
Oracle.
However, the NT folk would find my server truly valuable if
it were to
run quake 3. I find the quake how to's, but am not sure how
to apply
the howto's to quake3. I must admit I am not much of a
gamer...trek is
about all I have probably played in the last few years. A
system must
have certain priorities and I am looking to the group to
help me align
mine.
