If it's a hosting company i'd say 2.4.2, it's networking layer is FAR better than 
2.2.x and i've been running it for a while and all seams well, as long as you don't 
have a VIA chip set:cP
also that raid stuff seams much faster

It's a server got monoliithic, include only what you need a turn off LKM's
