I suppose it depends on whether they have any services in common, if they
don't then it's fine to run them both at once. Normally I would expect only
one. Certainly my RH7 boxes are only running xinetd and my 6.x boxes are
only running inetd. I'd suggest you turn inetd off and see if anything
breaks.
