Hello Gentlemen:
I finally got DSL working properly. What I have now is a Westell
WireSpeed external modem that connects to a nic and it works great!
Currently I have two nic's in the Windows box, one for the DSL and one
to the hub for the network. What I want to do is check with you learned
people about the right way to set it up on the network to have good
security and share it with the RH and Windows boxes.
I think I need to setup an RH box (possibly a 486) as a firewall and
router with a nic connected to the hub, then install the DSL on a second
nic in the same box. That way, the DSL access and firewall are on the
same box and any "questionable traffic" doesn't reach the network but at
the same time, I can access the web from either RH or Windows via the
network hub. Does this sound correct?
