cd umount

Hi

I have a problem mentioned early  of eject the cd rom .I am using NFS
on a machine  with 6.2 Linux .The result of commmand
umount  /mnt/cdrom shows
device is busy and has the entry in /etc/mtab file .
I have changed the dir to / .Surprisingly pwd shows me that dir is /
Any solutions will be highly appreciated.
