Hmm....

I've tried it with several other formats, same results. :(  It's pretty
strange, XMMS will start up, and then seg fault.  I do a ps aux, and I see that
it's running.  So, I do a killall xmms and that kills it off.  I would try to
start XMMS several more times with the same result.  Then, it finally starts up
and I can play an MP3 but after it plays the MP3 it seg faults and freezes,
which means that I have to another killall and go through several restarts...
<sigh>
