Hi all, A question regarding libraries. This is a repost - of sorts - from earilier in the week. I want to install a program that needs the library libxml.so.2 [from libxml2-2.2.6-1.rpm]. My machine has libxml.so.1 installed from libarry libxml1-1.8.0-1. If I try an upgrade with rpm -Uvh "rpm name" I get a list of dependencies that will not be satisfied. Can I just install the new rpm or will it cause no end of conflict with the older libxml library? I am not clear on this point and would appreciate a shove in the right direction. I am at RH7.1 upgraded from 7.0.
