I'm running proftp latest on my office server, and all was well until the
other day, when I deleted a *file* (not a directory) from the server via a
client with the appropriate permissions.

From that moment hence, all my clients, be they windows or 'nix clients,
see /usr/src/ as being empty.
Now, this is patently not true, as I can see/manipulate/use the files
locally on the server, and via samba, and can ftp them up/down all around
if I copy a file or directory out of /usr/src/ into, say /var/tmp/

Anybody got a clue where i should go poking around next??
