I've got RH 7.1. I've tried to recompile a handful of src.rpm files and
each time it has failed. Yet, when I compile the (apparently) same source code
from a tarball it works. Why? What's the difference? Is it a compile-time flag
in the src.rpm and if so is there a way around it? For example, KSETIWATCH (on
SourceForge) would not compile from src.rpm, but it will compile from a tarball.
Same thing for everybuddy (www.everybuddy.com.) Those are just two examples off
the top of my head.
Thanks...
        John
