It is worth noting that @Home and a few other major providers block all
OUTGOING netbios on their networks to reduce script kiddie traffic as a
cost saving measure.

I seem to remember a while back that some folks scanned for people who
were running windows with public shares over IP, and then made them
public.

I seem to remember also a while back a Windows worm that propogated itself
with NetBios $IPC.
