I just tried it with the version from http://www.everybuddy.com/
everybuddy-0.2.0-1.src.rpm installs, but dies with compile time errors:
make[2]: *** [jutil.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/everybuddy-0.2.0/libjabber'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
