I'm still curious. I haven't a clue as to what causes the db files to be created in the first place. I've checked 4 machines, 2 running RH 7.1 and 2 running RH 7.2. None of them contain any files in /var/db/. I assume that the db files are created by another program, and unrelated to useradd and friends. What program access those db files? What is the output of rpm -qf /var/db/Makefile (or any other file that exists in that directory)? - -D - -- pgp key: http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/pgpkey.txt - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE790+IeMAUbzJhSVcRAieUAJ4+b0B5nOELFTQEIawSu7hbiNuS0QCcCUgU p7G928hszONtvTiALg+y29c= =qjd8 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
