Tammy, Thanks. I see the Custom Guide reference is for 7.2 and is quite different than the one from 7.1, but I assume the information is still applicable for version 7.1?
This raises another question....how hard is it to just do a complete upgrade to RH 7.2 from 7.1? I'm working from a new installation of 7.1 so I haven't really done much customizing. Can one do a complete upgrade to 7.2 via the Red Hat Network? Read http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-7.2-Manual/custom-guide/kernel. html Then use the command /sbin/mkbootdisk <kernelversion>, where <kernelversion> is the version of the new kernel you just installed, to make a boot disk. If you want to recompile your kernel yourself, you need to install the kernel-source package that contains the kernel source code.
