Switchdesk is the easiest way to change your default from Gnome (or KDE) to FVWM2.
XFCE is also on the Redhat Powertools CD as an RPM file. It works really well - speed is similar to FVWM2 but it's just so much more aesthetic. Switchdesk doesn't (by default) support XFCE. You can set XFCE as your default desktop by creating a file .xinitrc in your home directory with the single command "startxfce". I've found that Kmail doesn't work well in either FVWM2 or XFCE, so you might want to consider using Sylpheed instead. - Robert Storey On Mon, 03 Dec 2001 23:38:21 -0800 Anthony <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > There's another lightweight desktop environment you may be interested in > called XFCE. > > http://www.xfce.org/ > > Anthony > > Hidong Kim wrote: > > > > Hi, > > > > I want to switch to fvwm2 from kde.
