I went through a whole host of permutations of the rpms from freshrpms (http://enigma.freshrpms.net/). I found I could get different players doing useful things with different versions of the underlying libdvd* rpms. The combination I found which worked best for me was ogle-0.8.1-fr2.i686.rpm ogle_gui-0.7.5-fr2.i386.rpm libdvdcss-0.0.3-fr1.i386.rpm libdvdread-0.9.2-fr1.i686.rpm This will play most of the DVDs I've tried. I couldn't get xine to work at all (this was up to version 0.9.6) and vlc would only work with a later version of libdvdcss, which would then break ogle. This is on compaq armada m700. > And my DVD drive shows up as /mnt/cdrom. Is this normal? Did on mine too - I created a symbolic link to /dev/dvd Regards, Chris _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
