I asked this on the enigma list and I'm still waiting for a bite. So, I'll try here, too.
A freind has installed 7.2, has all updates, etc. He's trying to get a Z52 from Lexmark to print. I made a nice long email about it on enigma-list and that might be why we haven't gotten a reply. Basically we tried printconf, the printconf from 7.1, lexmark provided drivers (they always fail at the end of the install and tell us to uninstall a version that is defferent from the one we tried installing), etc. Wihtou updates, 7.2 doesn't even see the USB port. With the updates, it sees the right one and even mentions what type of type and model it is. But it won't print anything at all. The the printer working using the lexmark-provided driver on 7.1 but he had stability problems with that release. 7.2 is more stable for him but the printer won't work. Has anybody gotten this animal to do anything on 7.2? I'm acting as a go-between because he's really busy for the next few months. So anything I'm told should be tried will take some time, but I'll get it to him. Thanks for any help with this. -- Death is just Nature's way of saying, "Hey!
