Noted with thanks.  I think that my CPU is capable, AMD althol 1.4G with 
256MB DDR RAM.

I am also considering to have either
PROMISE FASTTRAK100 TX2 PCI ULTRA-ATA/100 RAID CONTROLLER (2 channels)

or
PROMISE FASTTRAK100 TX4 PCI ULTRA-ATA/100 4-CHANNEL RAID (2 channels)

( *****  I prefer 4 channels  *****)

However for 2 channels,
the price of

IWILL IDE RAID CONTROLLER CARD-SIDE RAID 100 W/SW & CABLE

is quite attractive

Any guy on the list has experience using this RAID controller card 
?  Please shed me some advice.
