Limiting Bandwidth on Apache

Hello Eveyone,   Any ideas on how you can limit the amount of bandwidth apache uses.   Say I have a dir. like http://my.server.com/mydir and I want apache to only allow downloads of say 4 kb/s for this dir but eveyone else must still run at max bandwidth.   OR   Can I force apache to limit bandwidth per virtualhost ?   Thanks,   Pieter
