Hello, First I should point out that the system in question is RH 7.0. I have tried up2date with both bash and tcsh, and got the same error with each.
Because of the problems with ssh I have decided to try using up2date. I went through the rhn_register process. I now have a username/password and can log onto www.redhat.com/network and see my system profile there, along with a long list of updates RH says I need. The problem is, when I try to run up2date (and I have tried every option, -u -p -i -d all one at a time) I get the following sort of output (and exact same error) every time: [root@dhp0946 up2date]# up2date -u Retrieving list of all available packages... Removing installed packages from list of updates... 100.0% Removing packages marked to skip from list... 100.0% Getting headers for available packages... 100.0% Removing packages with files marked to skip from list... 100.0% Getting headers for skipped packages... 100.0% Testing package set / solving RPM inter-dependencies... There was a fatal RPM error. The message was: Don't know how to handle dependency sense "1" [root@dhp0946 up2date]# I don't see any updates for RPM in the list of packages available for updating for my system, and I can't find any "update" directory associated with 7.0 on ftp.redhat.com. Any help will be appreciated.... thanks. ---------------------------------------------------- Jonathan Wilson System Administrator Cedar Creek Software http://www.cedarcreeksoftware.com Central Texas IT http://www.centraltexasit.com _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
