Since /dev/hde1 is being mounted on boot, it is owned by root. "users" allows anyone to umount a device whether they were the ones to mount it or not, I believe. Perhaps that would allow any user to write to the drive also? Worth a try??? Mike PS: There are some security concerns with this method I would think. Perhaps winblows virii ignored by Linux would be able to make their way to your Win partition, now with write privileges ;-( -- "Many loads of beer were brought.
