If the autorun desktop entry is empty, I don't think it causes anything 
to run at all. I deleted the desktop entry here.

Click the icon on the right hand side of the taskbar that looks like a 
calendar. Select settings -> configure KOrganizer, and deselect the 
checkbox that says "Automatically start Alarm Dameon on login"

I killed it so long ago that I don't remember anymore. Perhaps it was in 
the autorun desktop entry? If not, have a look in ~/.kde/Autostart/ or
~/.kde/share/autostart/

I believe the application you are referring to is called klipper.
