Let me guess, you have a pirated copy of Windows XP that locked you 
out after the pre-registration period, right? 

Bwahahahahahahaaaa ....

Yank the disk and stuff it in a Linux box.  Boot with an NTFS-read 
enabled kernel.  Or build a boot disk with such a kernel and a driver 
for your NIC.
