Is it that easy to use?  I stabbed at the docs a couple of times and
found it rather daunting but I must say for some reason I did not do my
usual install the thing and try it.  I guess since I wanted to use it
for our production code and was afraid to screw it up. 

Again, Is it really simple to use?  I have a bunch of perl, shell and
php scripts that I really need to keep up with.  Production versions
live on a server, web server, and a bunch of machines in the field.
