Hi,
I have a problem that my screen always flickers when I am in win manager. I
tried KDE, fvwm, gnome. The flickers happen when the computer is soing
something. For example, if I just let it sits there without doing anything,
it's fine. But even if i just open a console, its flickering. If I keep
pressing just the backspace button in a console, it will flicker continuosly,
also happen if I run xmms and play mp3 songs.

I am not sure what caused the problem. I ran Xconfigurator many many times
and try different config. I am currently using 1024x768 at 16 bit. If I go
down to 8 bit, the flickering is much less, if I go up to 24 bit, it's much
more. For some reason 800x600 doesn't work for me (it crashes the X server).
I believe I chose the correct monitor in Xconfigurator. Although I don't
think monitor is the problem, since I tried it with 2 different monitors that
both works perfectly with 2 other 7.2 system I have.

This may or may not be related, but Chromium (you know, that game) is really
really slow. I know this problem was mentioned before, and I wasn't really
following the threads.

I have updated all my kernel and Xfree86 stuff using up2date this morning. It
doesnt solve the problem.

I have a hardware with the following specs:
Motherboard: MS-6378 ATX mainboard, built in VGA (shared memory), SND, LAN,
XP with VIA VT8361
Memory: PC133MHz 256MB RAM
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 1700

I already set the shared memory for video card for 32 MB I believe.

Thanks in advance for any help.
