I don't know about the one you mentioned, but take it from me and stay
with an optical ball!! I had a kensington that wasn't optical. It lasted
for awhile and it ended up needing cleaning too often for my tastes,
like every 2-3 days. I changed it out for a logitech optical and have
had a _MUCH_ better experience!

I have a friend that has a trackball that has something like six buttons
on it. It's possible it was 4 with another wheel thingy on it, since I
only saw it once. He was able to get 4 of them to work without much
trouble. I don't know if he ever got the other 2 (or wheel, or whatever
was leftover) to work, or even if he tried to. He did say he'd look into
it later, but I know he wasn't in a big hurry about it.
