Isn't that true of life in general?

Seriously, the great thing about Linux is its flexibility.  There is often 
"more than one way to skin a cat".  That is, more than one way to achieve 
the desired results.

But, it is like other complex "machines".  If you get under the hood 
without knowing what you are doing your tinkering may very well break it.  
Unlike a car, however, it won't cost you $2,176 to have someone come in 
and repair the damage.  And think of all the fun you can have while you 
"Learn by breaking" (TM).
