I don't believe this is off topic as it will not install with 7.2...
Well here goes.....................
I was hoping someone on the list would have tried the install on RedHat
7.2.
Loki is defunct. Their news groups have cobwebs, no help there.

Myth II ( Loki distro) install and runs fine on Caldera 2.4 2.2 kernel.

I found an old work around on Loki news group to install by copying the
files
as the grphical and command line installs fall.
I am installing and running as root .
I have installed as follows
The results is "Unable to access tag file "
I set permissions on directories and files to 777

In the meantime, you can do the install manually with:

    cd /usr/local/games
    mkdir myth2
    cd myth2
    mkdir cutscenes
    mkdir tags
    cp /mnt/cdrom/bin/x86/glibc-2.1/myth2_x11 .
    ln -s myth2_x11 myth2
    cp --recursive /mnt/cdrom/plugins .
    cp /mnt/cdrom/README .

If you want the Fear/Loathing tools, do this, too:
    cp /mnt/cdrom/bin/x86/glibc-2.1/fear .
    cp /mnt/cdrom/bin/x86/glibc-2.1/loathing .

If you want the Glide renderer, change myth2_x11 to myth2_glide, above.

Then, copy over the contents of cutscenes/ and tags/ -- noting that any
files which are not on the hard-drive will be read from the CD when you
play. (So, you can do a really minimal install, or, if you have the
space, you can copy everything over.)

Finally:
    cd /usr/local/bin
    ln -s /usr/local/games/myth2/myth2 .

That will mimic all the steps of the install (except for the desktop
items).

In gerneral Loki stuff has been difficult to install for one reason or
another
on all of my machines.

Bob
