My usual response to this type of error would be to reload (which I have
done twice) and change hardware around a bit...But I'm wondering if anyone
can help me figure out exactly what is going on here. I have a 6GB IDE HD
on an AMD K6-200 processor and MoBo with 64MB ram. Dual 3Com Nics, Diamond
V550 video card and adaptec SCSI controller. Actually I have like 8 total
disks in the system, some SCSI and some IDE. I have had no problems running
RedHat 6.0, 6.1, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2 on the system, so imagine my surprise when I
loaded 7.3 and got this... :-/

I formatted hda and took the default setting to allow GRUB and to have it
sit on the MBR. Again all of this worked with 7.2.

upon reboot, however, I get the GRUB> prompt and don't really know where to
go...

any suggestions?

Should I switch to Lilo? I've heard the Grub is a better loader...But I'm
not sure how much pain I can withstand..

thanks for the help

carl
