Will you use dial-up connections or will you have a fixed IP address? If you have a 
valid IP addr, VNC is just fine. If not, check the pppd and mgetty docs (they are part 
of any RHL distro) to get a dial-up server.

You can write a simple init.d script to star VNC desktops at boot, insted of 
telnet/ssh and then star vncserver, or you can start VNC desktops from inetd and use a 
display manager (gdm, kdm, xdm) to give the on-demand VNC sessions login prompt just 
like the one at the console.
