Interesting, I didn't know about that.


However, a suggestion for [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Even if you are not on a
network, consider still using two users, root and someone who isn't
root.  Even if you don't have a network, *you* still will use your
computer.  Most day-to-day computer things don't need to be root and
by not always being root you can be saved from some boo-boos.  You
also might install some software (from somewhere), and installing as
regular a user can be really convenient: you know "they" can't mess
with your whole system's integrity, only that of a single user.

I usually keep a root shell (inside an emacs) sitting around for easy
access, but I only use it for things that need to be root, otherwise I
am just lil' ol' me.
