I am having a little trouble with my system and it's really got me confused.

Everything worked fine until I rebooted the system, and now it's squirrelly...

I have a linux box on my local network and it's running named. I configured
it through webmin and it seems to work fine for all the hosts but the system
itself.

I have the MacOSX host configured to lookup against "here.local". So when I
ping the name of my server or any other system on the net by just the
hostname, it will add ".here.local" to the name and the lookup succeeds.

However, from the server itself, I can do an nslookup by hostname only
(/etc/resolv.conf will add the ".here.local" and it will lookup and succeed).
But when I do a "dig hostname" or "ping hostname", the ".here.local" isn't
appended to the name and the lookup fails.

When I do "dig hostname.here.local" or "ping hostname.here.local", all is
well...

There must be some configuration setting I have wrong... it seemed to work
fine until I rebooted (and that was the first reboot since I configured and
started named).

Thanks!
