    Nope, you gotta think dumber than that.  I was using the wrong IP...instead of
.161, I was using .160 which rightfully was returning Permission Denied.  This is
what happens when you've been working for hours on end, and it's reaching 5AM and
you still can't solve the problem.

    And as it turns out, I don't have to open any ports to walk the SNMP tree of a
remote device (outbound connection).  Works for me.
