Ok I have a Toshiba sat pro 490cdt. It has a cdrom 4 gig hard drive and no floppy. the problem I have is the same with 7.2 I put bootable cdrom ( from box set and it works on my PC) in the CDROM and reboot laptop. CD is ignored by the laptop for some reason even happens with 7.2 however when I put 7.0 box set cdrom in it it goes into the install prompt with
boot: however when I try either 7.2 or 7.3 cd it acts as if there is no cd in there. Would upgrade packages and kernel however I am not that good at that yet for I get those silly little error messages and after about 3 weeks of trying different stuff I am getting fustrated. Heck the wife told me If I spend another week messing with it she will kick me and the laptop outa the bed room.
