I believe if you edit /etc/sysconfig/network it will solve your problem
during botup setting hostname is read from this file. Well at least it
work for me.

I use the following command
hostname newnamehere

placeing the name of the new hostname you would like in the place
labeled newnamehere 
this should work for it works for me I f not there might be some other
problem that is causeing it to happen
