Either it's as easy as copying a module file (*.o) to a spare disk and
then mount/cp/insmod it, or you have to recompile things, partition your
harddrive and learn about libpathes.

If you aren't too familiar with linux, better check out Mondo Rescue at
http://www.mondorescue.org/

It will dump your full system (that is bootblock, partitioning, kernel,
drivers, any files, even windows partitions) to a set of CD(RW), DVD or
(hells!) floppies. Just boot from them to have your system back. No user
interaction neccessary besides changing disks (especially if you
prefered the floppy way).
